The 1815 Tourbillon watch unites for the first time at A. Lange & Söhne the small seconds with stop for the whirlwind to the Zero-Reset function. This high precision timepiece appears on the 200th anniversary of Ferdinand Adolph
Lange in a limited edition of fine craftsmanship with exceptional decorations of the dial and of the movement. A. Lange & Söhne gives since 2011 the ‘Arts and Crafts’ name extra special limited editions for which the dial and movement are ennobled by techniques of engraving and finishing out of the ordinary. The watch whirlwind 1815 of Arts and crafts in red gold, limited to 30 copies, honor the pioneer of the watch industry in Saxony as a fifth model in this series.
The manufacture of a sophisticated finish L102.1 caliber works inside this watch. It consists of 262 parts and 21 rubies. This Platinum three-quarters caliber has an opening through which one can recognize the swirl
v and the barrel and part of the Cog. The rough surface of platinum in nickel silver is inspired by historic pocket watches. The decoration of the movement finds its culmination in the functional end real diamond.
The whirlpool in the complexity of its precision mechanics and its artisan reflects watch accuracy by excellence for more than 200 years. Thanks to the small seconds with stop of A. Lange & Söhne, the watch can be set more exactly. The pendulum inside the tourbillon cage can be stopped using a locking spring in the shape of “V”. The second hand stops andresets by taking the Crown.Thus, the minute hand can be positioned exactly on index of minutes and the watch restarts to the second.
The movement offer a power reserve of 72 hours after complete reassembly, has a screw, shock resistant balance of a spring pendulum of homemade and vibrates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
The red gold case has a diameter of 39.5 mm and a thickness of 11.1 mm.
